Here we are guys, the final masterlist for the DE Christmas exchange 2013, with a Grand Total of 22 prompts. Thanks to everyone who took part! It's Christmas and she's decided to end it all but then she meets Damon. Sometimes strangers can change your life forever. -- I know it's quite dark so, if you're not feeling the suicidal!Elena then feel free to run with your own twists! Only requirements I have are for it to be angsty and for Damon to be the mysterious stranger that saves Elena from herself.

- Damon and Elena are spies, working for two different organizations (i don't care if you invent them) neither knows the other is a spy. They know each other because they both attended (a prestigious school of your choosing) two years apart and they...slept together/almost slept together but short after Damon graduated they lost touch with one another. -- Years later or Christmas/New Yea's, they meet in (city/country of your liking) on the same mission/target. They decide to take a "5 min time out" for all time sake. I would like a fight between them and later, a very passionate night. Thank you in advance!

- Yay! That time of the year again! Okay, so here’s my prompt. I’ve always loved the idea of Damon and Elena in a hospital setting. I’m thinking they were college sweethearts. Damon moves away to do his internship abroad with the promise to Elena that after the year is up they would resume their relationship, but he never returns. Why? Your choice. Elena is broken hearted after that and they don’t see each other again until years later where a medical case brings them together. What kind? Up to you as well. Neither ever has anything serious after each other. In the present, he’s a successful surgeon working for a NY hospital (known to be a womanizer) and Elena is brought on board as a medical consultant. Paths are crossed and Damon realizes that he never stopped loving her and wants her back, though he’s thrown by Elena’s attitude when she acts like she doesn’t remember him- which is all an act as she too never stopped loving him. Alone for the holiday’s Damon devices a plan to win her and her forgiveness back on the days leading up to Christmas. -- This may have been WAY specific, so you can tweak it your way so that it works. Points if there’s a Christmas proposal!*!*! I’d prefer something smutty-licious, but PG’s good too!

- AU/AH - Damon is a fire fighter/cop/lifeguard/a profession that would allow him to save someone. One Christmas/New Year he responds to an emergency and saves Elena (it could be from a burning building, car accident, attempted murder, rape, drowning, the situation is up to you) but she is severely hurt (can be physical or emotional or both, again it's up to you). A year passes and Christmas/New Year is here again and Damon just so happens to bump into Elena who hasn't adjusted very well since what happened last year (I'd like to see her on edge and closed off). Damon takes it upon himself to try and piece her back together. Bonus points if it's dark, angsty and passionate.

- Katherine dies from the years that have been quickly catching up to her. Nature has a plan to balance the death of the last human Petrova and Elena finds herself human once again. Unable to handle what that entails, she runs away from Mystic Falls, leaving Damon and everyone else behind without so much as a note. Years later (as in many, like a century or so), Damon happens to cross paths with Elena, or someone who looks suspiciously like her. She is quick to disappear before he can ask questions, but it isn't long before he tracks her down and gets the truth. Make it as angsty or as dark as you want. This doesn't have to end with them getting back together, but yes to smut, you know, for old time's sake :)

- After some big fallout/decision (whatever you like) The Salvatore Brothers left Elena behind to start a normal life. She dies at the young age of 40 (for any reason you like, try make me cry please!) and leaves behind a child. Young/old/boy/girl whatver you like. -- The child goes to visit their mother's grave on xmas eve. It can be one year after she died/five years/ten years whatever floats your boat. When they go, they see Damon at her grave and he is leaving a rose on her grave. I want him to have some heart wrenching speech. Something that is going to make me cry! I just want to see who can make me cry really. They can interact with one another, or the child can just stand in the background and listen. It's really all up to you. I just want a heart broken Damon talking to Elena's grave on Xmas eve.

- At a Christmas party Damon is forced by his drunk friends to step into the 'mystical elfs' back room (aka fortune teller, or witch, whatever). Inside of her snow globe reveals his true love. For years Damon thought it was a hoax, a big joke, until he spots her. The girl within the globe. His supposed true love. -- I'm giving creative freedom of the present to whoever chooses to fulfill the prompt. Angst or fluff is completely acceptable.

- Elena and Damon are celebrities (co-stars, singer/songwriters who've collaborated, people of note who have worked together in some capacity) who despise each other behind-the-scenes, for whatever reason (that's up to you). They're forced by their respective management teams to volunteer together in a homeless shelter during the holiday season for publicity, and every eye will be upon them, media and fan alike, so they have to convince the world they're the best of friends, maybe more... until the façade becomes reality for the both of them. I'd really like for there to be a moment where they're caught under mistletoe in front of the cameras. Other than that, use your imagination. M or T rating. - AU/AH: Elena and her baby are home alone on Christmas Eve and she's feeling down about not being able to afford much this year (decorations, presents, etc.) She wakes up on Christmas morning to find her house exploded in Christmas cheer thanks to her best friend/secret love of her life, Damon. Damon has been there for Elena through everything, her divorce, her pregnancy, her recent money issues and he's stood by her, silent about his love for her. But no more, Damon's ready to put himself on the line and it starts with giving Elena and her baby the best Christmas ever. --- Baby is optional, but I do love Damon and babies... even if they aren't his. :D Bonus points for a sweet gift from Elena to Damon, Damon and baby fluff and of course, SEXY TIMES.

He's been putting every piece of spare change in a piggybank all year long to buy the children presents for Christmas, only to discover that someone has absconded with the funds. There isn't enough money in the home's general fund for him to buy any presents for the children. Somehow Elena learns of his plight, gathers friend and family to give those children and Damon too a Christmas they'll never forget.
