State of the Community

Feb 21, 2009 04:26

I'm in the middle of rereading the books and taking notes, so I've been a bit quiet. Also, the fandom is settling down again after the release and big TV news. This is quite natural for the LJS fandom (we've survived 10 years of LJS being AWOL, lulls like this are nothing), and things will pick up again as soon as we hear more news.

NEWS-LIKE THINGS

LJS has updated her website. There's a teaser for Nightfall posted up there, along with some other information. Much of it was already posted on her blog, but there are a few extra bits on the website.

On the subject of the website, the link to the TVD story Blood Will Tell has been removed from the list of stories. There were whispers of copyright kerfuffles a while back, and LJS wasn't sure if it would be staying up or not. It looks as though she's had to remove it. If you want it, the file is still up, but it's anyone's guess for how much longer.

There's a new drabble challenge up at ljs100, so if you're creatively inclined or just want to try your hand at writing LJS fic, then head on over and join in.

TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION

First of all, if you can think of a topic to discuss, you are encouraged to post it. It makes me all glowy inside to see other members making posts. However, I'm aware that some people feel a bit shy about making posts to communities, so if that's you, and you have an idea for a topic to discuss in the comm, then please post it in the comments and I'll throw some up to boost some activity. :)

ADVERTISING

If you want to advertise or affiliate with the community, you can find more details here. I've added some more buttons and banners, should people want to use them.

Latest affiliates are: books_with_bite and its_inthe_blood
