Username: shipperjunkie First name: Katie Email (optional): shipperjunkie@gmail.com What are your strengths as a beta? Grammar, spelling, characterization, cheerleading. I'm detail-oriented and I know the show and the characters very well. I don't take offense if my advice isn't taken and I respect an author's decisions. What are your weaknesses as a beta? I'm not that interested in betaing stories where the writing is so highly stylized that it's difficult to even tell what's happening. While that kind of story can be beautiful, they're often more about the writing itself as an art form, and less about the story. What genre do you prefer to beta? Het. Romance, well-plotted stories, character studies. I'm a friend of fluff. Which pairings do you prefer to beta? Damon/Elena, Caroline/Tyler, Caroline/Klaus, and I have a deep appreciation for the more rare ships like Alaric/Elena, Tyler/Elena, Stefan/Caroline, Klaus/Elena, Damon/Rebekah. I also like threesome stories as long as one of the triad is female. What genre are you not willing to beta? Crack!fic Which pairings are you not willing to beta? M/M slash Are you willing to work with crossovers? If I know both series, yes. What ratings are you not willing to beta? I'll beta any rating. How many stories are you willing to work on? Five Anything else? I don't want to argue with a defensive author who takes every bit of critique to heart.
