I can't say I'm all that suprised that Friday Night Lights got snubbed, but I'm still disappointed. It would've been good exposure for the show. At the very least, the show itself, Kyle Chandler, and Connie Britton should have gotten nominations, but of course not. I had never read much about the Emmy selection process until this summer, and it seems like they need to find a new process. And what's with all the love for Boston Legal? I've never watched it, but from the commericals it doesn't even seem like much of a drama. Whatever. I am happy that The Office, Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, and Rainn Wilson all got nominated, and all should win. It was also nice to see Neil Patrick Harris recognized for his awesomeness on How I Met Your Mother. And it was good to see that Hugh Laurie was nominated for best actor after he was snubbed last year even with House nominated for best drama. Last but not least, I hate that Matthew Fox was overlooked again. As bitter as I still am towards the show, I still care about him.
I'm happy that summer is close to being over. I'm ready for new episodes of my favorite show. Lots of spoilers have come out for Friday Night Lights this week, and I couldn't be more excited. October 5th can't get here soon enough. As for summer TV, I have really been enjoying Army Wives. I didn't think I was capable of liking something so much that aired on Lifetime. Age of Love is a trainwreck, but it is absolutely hilarious. They did a good job of casting crazy women for it, but it makes twenty year-olds look horrible. And the guy's dog has more personality than he does, I don't even care if he is a professional tennis player. I don't see how the women are interested in him at all. I'm also watching Big Brother, I don't really have any favorites yet. I just want to see Jen go home; I don't see how anyone can stand being in that house with her.
