I’m a senior!!! It’s amazing and scary how fast college has gone by. My “now what?” mentality has already kicked in. I always look forward to no homework and no studying, but for a few days, I feel kind of lost without it.
My excitement was also short-lived when I got home last night and saw that Gilmore Girls had been cancelled. I thought I wasn’t going to have to deal with any big TV goodbyes this May; it seemed like season 8 was a go. But I was wrong. I’m just glad we know before the finale airs. (I hated that with Friday Night Lights…fingers still crossed until the 14th.) It just figures that it would get cancelled after I started enjoying it again. In the fall, I was completely against another season, but after Lorelai & Christopher split, I changed my mind. The show showed signs of what made it so good for the first 5 seasons. It’s just sad that the finale won’t be as satisfying as it could or should have been. As for this week’s episode, how great was Lorelai’s rendition of “I Will Always Love You”? Lauren Graham never ceases to amaze me.
The Addison Spin-off: After looking at some message boards, it looks like I’m in the minority here. I liked it. It’s not Grey’s, but I didn’t want a Grey’s clone. I’m sure I enjoyed it because Addison/Kate Walsh can do no wrong in my eyes…she’s that fabulous. And Tim Daly is all kinds of hot. It’s hard to believe he’s 51.
Survivor: I was getting worried for Yau-Man last night, but his alliance didn’t go against him. They probably should have though. I’m sure things will get extremely cut-throat next week. Like Cook Islands, this season started out slow, but has ended up being very entertaining.
ER: Just when I was thinking how nice it was to see everyone so happy, Ray gets hit by a truck. I should have known, this is ER. I’m glad Luka & Abby are able to enjoy a little bit of happiness. I’ll miss Goran Visnjic when he leaves at the end of the season, but at least they’re not killing him off.
May Sweeps in General: It's strange, I'm not really dying to see that many finales this season. Yes, I'm very excited to see how The Office and Heroes wrap things up, but I'm just not as into it this month. After those two shows, I'm probably most looking forward to seeing who wins Survivor and Dancing with the Stars. What is wrong with me? Oh, and I can't forget the NBC upfronts...that will be a big event too.
