My TV Christmas Wish List

Dec 22, 2006 12:30

Here is what I would like to see on my favorite shows (in no particular order) in the coming year, and if I'm asking for things, I'd like a 50" plasma screen to watch them on, but anyway..

Grey's Anatomy-  I want Addison & Alex to hook up and Meredith and Derek to stay happy for as long as possible.
Amazing Race: All Stars - I hope this isn't a letdown, but it shouldn't be with Rob & Amber involved. Yes, they're media whores, but they get people talking and they're great competitors.  I really hope BJ & Tyler are one of the teams coming back, but I've heard they won't be. So that would be a nice surprise to see the hippies again!
House-  I want the Tritter storyline to end; David Morse made the character appealing, but enough is enough.  I also hope House & Wilson don't stay on the outs for the rest of the season; they have some of the best chemistry on all of tv.
Friday Night Lights-  More viewers, more viewers, more viewers!!! I'm glad NBC gave it a full-season commitment, but I don't want it to end after one year.  This might be the best drama on tv right now, and there are too many people missing out. (It's on Wednesdays at 8 on NBC)
Survivor- Like I said with The Amazing Race, I don't want this season to be a letdown after such a great season in Cook Islands.
Gilmore Girls-  I want Luke & Lorelai to reconcile by the end of the season.  I also hope the show itself ends in May; it should have ended last year or maybe even before that.
Heroes-  All I want from this show is for it to keep getting better and keep up the awesome cliffhangers and plot twists.  It's definitely my new WTF show, and I hope it stays that way.
The Office- By May, I want Jim & Pam to be a couple.  So far, I haven't minded the Karen factor, but it doesn't need to go on much longer.  I want to see Pam step up and really fight for Jim; if there was ever a guy worth fighting for, it's Jim Halpert.

As far as tv goes, there is nothing I want more than  to enjoy Lost again, but I have lots of requests/suggestions/grievances for Mr. Lindelof and Mr. Cuse:

---Bring back the mythology...where was it in the first six episodes?  I want to know more about the Dharma Initiative, why the Others needed  Walt and the other kids, etc.
---Bring back the characters I fell in love with.  Locke & Sayid are not morons, so stop having they act like morons. I hate sappy Sawyer, he needs to turn back to the dark side quickly.  He is not interesting as a cheesy romance novel character who thinks it is a good idea to electrocute himself.  As far as my decision to start watching the show on a regular basis again, it all hinges on Kate.  I have to see her show some regret, and she has to be determined to save Jack.  If she goes back to the beach and plays house with Sawyer and/or acts like nothing happened in capitivity, I'm done. Basically, if the zombieness continues, I'm out.
---Please don't ruin Jack
---Do not let Sawyer & Kate have a continued relationship.  I can still root for Kate & Jack to be together if this one was just a one-time thing with Sawyer, but if she spends the rest of the season with him or if they really start trying to sell that she loves him, I'm done.
---Stop adding new characters that no one cares about.
---Bring back the cliffhangers; I will never forget moments like Michael IMing Walt, Henry's got milk speech, and Michael's killing spree, but there was nothing like that so far in season 3.
---Better writing....I knew things were going downhill quickly the second I heard "You taste like strawberries."
---Don't keep Jack separated from the rest of the Losties until the season finale. I'm fine with it for awhile, but I will eventually miss seeing him interacting with people like Locke, Sayid, Hurley, etc. He is really what holds this show together, and keeping him away from everyone else for too long will be a big mistake.

This sounds like I'll never be happy with Lost again, but I still believe in this show's potential.  They just have to give me a reason to watch in the spring; I don't want to watch the show self-destruct, though.  I would rather remember it for seasons one and (most of) two, when it was the most compelling, original, and strangest drama on tv.  For now, I think it's best if I just read recaps of the episodes before I watch them. (Although, I'll at least watch the flashbacks of the Jack episode.)  But by May, I hope to be watching the show live and on a regular basis; I want Lost to be the highlight of my week again.
