According to the
TV Feeds My Family blog, ratings for the second episode of Shattered went down, for an estimated 375,000 viewers across Canada. They're saying Shattered is in the grip of the "First new show of the season" curse, of which only a handful of shows has survived in the last 35 years,
or so says this guy who has too much time on his hands. Yikes! It's still early, but for now I'm just hoping they don't pull the show mid-season.
Next week there will be no new episode, it's being bumped for the two-hour finale of Big Brother. The week after that, NCIS is back so maybe more Canadians will accidentally leave their televisions on and give Shattered a chance?
Basically I hate that ratings can kill a show because so many people watch TV online these days, either out of necessity or convenience.
