Picture update.

Conveniently packaged in a Gallery Format. My God, technology kicks ass. I had the link copied, clicked "quick link" on a little button, and the HTML was already generated. Thanks, Semagic!

The "party" consisted of me opening the Random Bag of Crap piece by piece to the oohs and aahs of the small crowd. I am used to this, because this is what every freakin' Christmas is like. Again with the quick linking. Awesomes. Anyway, that was fun, until I found a piece of paper I had overlooked in my haste to show off all the trinkets to everyone. This paper was a mock-up of a woot.com page with a picture of this. This thing completely RMFO. I shot that big missile thing halfway across the office, and it hit a glass window about 12 feet up. BAD. ASS.

So, upon unearthing that, we spend about 15 bagillion hours trying to unwrap it. Lynda made a clever comment about the kids in Taiwan probably getting paid by the twisty-tie. The things were made of metal and were tied like knots! How do you tie METAL in a KNOT?! Maybe a machine can, but a human cannot! In the end, the thing finally got assembled, and we all had a blast terrorizing the cubes around us.

This is what I wanted from my birthday. Just last night I was thinkging: "Please, just don't forget." and I get this. You all have no idea how happy I am right now. My friends back home remembered, my friends in Norman remembered, and the people here at work remembered as well. I can't possibly be happier.

ritual, party, work, friends, birthday, happy
