Shabba Doo, Shabba Dee.
What a LONG DAY. I worked on our album from noon to 1:00 am, so I started it yesterday and ended work on it today. I know there is a popular myth that this type of work is nothing but fun times and sunshine. Well, it is fun. I can't lie there. I had a ball. But I was worn out by around 8:00, and I had to keep working on it. It's more mentally exhausting than physically, I suppose...but you do have the repetition factor in there. You're doing the same damn thing over and over and over again, and then you have to listen to what you just did over and over and over again in tiny little pieces until you think (maybe) it's exactly the way you wanted it.
Either way, we're almost done. 13 hours and we're still not finished. But we're almost done. The fruits of our labor are completely unknown to me until we start shopping this thing. And hopefully, we'll have some good fruit. I do know that we have outdone ourselves completely.
