Taste of Greece

Today, we went to the Taste of Greece festival held in Chicago's Greektown. I've always been a big fan of Greektown and today was no exception.

The event was run really well with very reasonably priced, yet very tasty food. Not too crowded, and a variety of stalls selling food, trinkets, and services. Teri and I lunched on Gyros and Beer. I've never been to Taste of Chicago but Teri, who's been, said Taste of Greece was a much more well-run event.

After our late lunch, we went grocery shopping at Whole Foods, then came back home and cooked Calamari Steaks with Brussel Sprouts and Grape Tomatoes, served with a side of Artichoke and Roasted Tomato Antipasti.

We enjoyed our dinner with a pitcher of homemade Sangria, and to top the night off, we each savoured a piece of sweet-but-not-too-sweet Baklava.
