In order to save $30 on the wedding dress I want, I need to lose 12" around my bust and hips and 15" around my waist. I have until October of next year, but still.
that will take me from a 26 to a 20. Which probably means I'll be in slightly smaller sizes in actual clothing (since bridal sizing is all sorts of F'ed up, but I can't find one of those stupid size converters online like the ones they put on clothing tags), but I'll still be smaller than I was when I started college, so that will be a start.
There are a lot of wedding gowns in those sizes, at least on the Boston craiglist clothing pages. I only recently found out that bridal sizes don't match regular sizes just from looking at the pretty pictures (I love wedding gowns). Apparently a 10 is more of an 8 and a 12 is more of a 9-10 and so on. How retarded is that.
Is there a pic of the dress you want anywhere? I'd love to see it!
I know what you mean about the weird sizing thing. I'd actually been told that bridal sizes were 2 sizes off from normal sizes, but I guess it also depends on the manufacturer. Which is interesting, because according to some measurements, I belong in a 4X (30W-32W), when my size 26 pants are falling off my ass.
ROAR WITH ME NOW. YEAH!
What size would that make you, if you don't mind me askin'?
If you mind me asking, punch me in the face! Punching people in the face is good exercise!
