[[Among the usual crowd of mottled gray and brown pigeons in the center of town, a small, black bird about the size of a ripe mango stands out like a sore thumb. It's chasing after the other birds, pecking and scratching at any pigeons it comes close enough to. Every now and then it will stop to perch on one leg, scratching and pulling at the sliver chain looped around it's neck.]]
