[ Just a short distance from an abandoned shop, the Jumi Knight slashes at invisible opponents with his sword, his body bending and arching with the various fighting maneuvers he had learned, and expression steady with eyebrows drawn tightly together in concentration.

And just beyond the busy swordsman, the wall of the building was lined with ( Read more... )

[[Fakir watches the newcomer practice with his eyebrows raised slightly.]]

You're very skilled, sir.

Oh LJ. So full of fail -_-; knight_of_lapis April 14 2009, 00:52:50 UTC
[ He halts mid swing, sword extended out straight as his eyes follow the unfamiliar (but still somewhat familiar?) voice.

His eyebrows raise slightly in surprise as his gaze lands on his double. ]

...Another? I wonder which one this is.

[[He offers a small apologetic smile]]

My apologies. I didn't mean to interrupt you.

[ He lowers his weapon, still watching the doppelganger warily. ]

It's fine. I take it your name is Fakir?

[[nods]] I'm assuming that is your name as well.

[[He hesitates for a moment.]]

That book over there. May I ask where you found it?

Yes, it is.

[ At the mention of the book, he turns toward it. ]

That? I found it outside of a church. Is it yours?

The church. So it is...

I...ventured with a large group, and we found that. I thought that another Fakir kept it...though I haven't seen him since.

Ah. Well, if you're familiar with it, I suppose you can have it. You don't seem like one of the more questionable types around here... but I could be wrong. I don't know why it was left there. I didn't see anyone else around.

Youngest? He doesn't mean there's a child here, does he? ...I believe I'm familiar with the cheerful one, though. I'm waiting for him here.

Ah, then perhaps I ought to leave the book here for him to pick up. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of business do you have with him?

[ A small smirk curls onto the corner of his lips. ]

I'm going to teach him how to fight.

[[He returns the smirk with one of his own.]]

Knowing the boy, I'm certain he'd appreciate it. He's rather excitable when it comes to other Fakirs.

[ He grimaces as he recalls his first meeting with said Fakir. ]

So I've noticed. But he's given me quite a bit of information about this place and the people here. The least I can do is give him a few lessons in combat.

[[nods]] He has a good heart. He was one of the first who did not reject me.

[ The Jumi raises an eyebrow in question. ]

Reject you?
