[[Ross sits in front of an inkwell, twiddling the quill pen between his fingers.  Caras just provided him with the materials (and with the consent in doing so, his willing participation in the story), and he's itching to begin.

He sets the pen down and fumbles around in his cloak, bringing out a pocket knife.  Carefully, Ross makes a small cut ( Read more... )

[[Scowling in a concentrated mixture of desperate resistance and tihgtly bridled rage, he strode almost too indifferently through the catacombs, attempting to impede his own forced search for his human form daughter. The words came past his tongue before he could hold them back, and the pained restraint could be heard in his clipped voice.]]

Daughter. Are you here.

[[Ross hears Caras's call and smiles. He rolls the paper up and sticks it in his pocket coat, then calls to the Raven.]]

What are you raising the racket for, Caras? I am attempting to write.

Think this icon's better; and Ross will have to be a control freak to stop the snarking >:D menschlicherabe June 9 2009, 23:07:52 UTC
[[Even with that story controlling his every move, it could not keep back the furious smirk that broke across his expression.]]

You're already done with your writing, you whiner. I am aware of that much.

Control freak? That he can do. itwillbetragedy June 9 2009, 23:10:16 UTC
[[Ross takes out the paper, dips the ink again, and scrawles in the margins.]]

...a very taciturn, soft-spoken Darkness, whose years spent cowering from emotion had all but robbed the power of speech from him.

[[And the words were a vice grip on his tongue as he was abruptly silent.]]

...Unless I bring in another player now, this shall be entirely out of my hands...

[[Saying not a word, before Ross could know what he was doing, he conjured a crow grasping a piece of parchment. In the blink of an eye, the bird flapped its wings and in a flurry of darkness, vanished out of sight.]]

[[ooc: I think, after whatever Ross decides to do from here in his next tag, we should wait for Rue/Kraehe-mun to tag. Unfortunately, she isn't on right now...]]

OOC: Sure. If she doesn't get on all night, we can simply extend the RPing more. itwillbetragedy June 10 2009, 00:01:16 UTC
[[Ross puts his pen to the paper to stop the Raven from flying, but thinks the better of it. That's just getting paranoid. If Caras tries to bring help or break free, so be it. Just more witnesses for his wedding. No weak, wavering story spinner here can stand against him.]]

Come on, good sir. Call for her again.

[[He makes another edit detailing the Darkness seeking out a girl to transform, and screaming for her repetitively before she appears.]]

[Finally, Rue appears from deep within the catacombs. From far away she looks as though nothing's wrong, but if one were to look closer, they would see that she's been crying]

Yes, Father?

[[ooc: I can justify this because he said "taciturn, soft-spoken" who had "all but" lost speech--he isn't mute, and technically, he's speaking softly. 8D Tomato-mun seeks loopholes like that, Ross will have to do much better to make him obedient. >D]]

[[Upon spotting Rue, the direct instructions just given to him had expired, making him silent again. Grimacing with the struggle, with all the willpower he could muster to counter the words written to bind his tongue, he found just enough to get out words as soft as a whisper--]]

Run, you stupid girl.

[[In his room, Ross bites the nub of the quill and mutters.]]

Goddamnit, Caras.

[[He starts to write again.]]

The Darkness placed his hand on the girl's arm, and her will dissolved as smoke on the wind. She allowed him to lead her to the man complacently, feeling happy to be wife to a powerful and wonderful husband.

You stupid and deaf girl--

[[With a look of utter frustration, his arm raised, as if being pulled up slowly by puppet strings, and placed his hand on Rue's forearm.]]

Ross has grown tired of your frustration! itwillbetragedy June 10 2009, 02:02:38 UTC
The Darkness, smiling serenely, led her gently to where the man was.

[as soon as Caras places his arm on hers, Rue feels her own will slipping away, and tenses, for a moment, then relaxes, looking calm and complacent]

[[Caras feels his lips curl upwards slightly, and keeping a hold of Rue, bringing them towards their own captor. His posture and pace all bespeak calm and indifference, but in his eyes there was nothing but ominous wrath.]]

They entered the man's room, both bowing low to him. Then they rose. The Darkness led the girl toward her future husband. As the Darkness's hands alighted on her shoulders, her form changed into that of the man's deceased love.
