[Fakir is in the boy's room at the Hotel California. Since the Masquerade he's been spending a lot of time in there, claiming it's because of his leg and only sneaking going out and walking on it for a short time during the days.
In reality, he's been rather embarrassed about what happened at the ball, because to him it was completely mortifying the next morning when he remembered it (and he had a bit of a headache to top it off). He's not sure who saw or knew what and he definitely wants to avoid Ahiru.
However, today he finally recalled something the young Fakir told him before and has now taken a small book from one of the nightstands, staring at what's basically the only page in it.]
