Personality
Describe yourself (how you perceive yourself -- can be as short or as long as you want! ;) ): I’m the kind of person who dislikes open-ended questions because I’m afraid of coming up with the wrong answer. I hate for other people to see me make mistakes. I’m very good at pretending to be the person the people around me need me to be, with the result that I have a hard time figuring out who I actually am. I consider myself a selfish person and I can be a complete brat when I'm too frustrated with being around other people when I’d really rather be by myself.
You've heard people say you are: The adults around me have always described me as responsible and hard working.
Overall, would you say your life is:
Peaceful/Full of conflict? full of conflict, but I’d say that most of it is internal
Filled with other people/Full of Solitude? Too full of other people. The time I get to myself is precious to me.
In general, would you say you are (expound if you can, please)...
Loud/Quiet? Quite, I’d rather be curled up at home with a book than out partying, I don’t enjoy many social situations
Faithful/Skeptical? I have faith when it comes to spiritual matters, but I’m fairly skeptical when it comes to people. It’s easier for me to believe in things that people say don’t exist than to believe the promises people make.
Realist/idealist? Realist. Though I spend time thinking about how things should be, I spend more time figuring out how to manage with the way things are.
Shy/outgoing? I’m generally pretty shy with people I don’t know well, but more outgoing with my close friends.
An extrovert/an introvert? Definitely and introvert, I’d rather keep my thoughts and feelings to myself than share them with those around me. I really hate being the center of attention.
An optimist/pessimist? I’m mostly pessimistic. I usually expect to be let down by the people around me.

Favorite song/s: At the moment my favorite songs are “Angels” by Within Temptation, “Blue Caravan” by Vienna Teng, “Christmas Eve, Sarajevo” by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, “Fences” by Paramore, and “The Islander” by Nightwish.
Favorite artists: Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Gaelic Storm, Vienna Teng, The Nields, Nightwish, Paramore, Within Temptation, Tori Amos and a lot of others, but these are the ones I’ve been listening to the most recently.
Favorite composers: Beethoven and Tchaikovsky

What sounds (e.g. birds singing) do you find pleasing to the ear? And vice versa? I love the sound of waves, wind in the trees, and the bustle of the big city. I don’t like complete silence or the sounds of chirping insects.
What genre/s or type/s of music do you prefer? Which ones do you dislike? I like nearly anything with a good melody and lyrics - folk, showtunes, and goth rock are among my favorites, while rap and hip-hop are probably my least favorites.

The lyrics of these songs remind me so much of different aspects of my personality. "Heart of the Ocean" and "Made it Fine" speak mostly to my need to travel, to find the place I can call home. The others deal with varying aspects of the relationship between the person I appear to be and the person I am.
If you were trapped in a room (feel free to enhance on this scenario) and had to listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be? Probably “The Islander” by Nightwish. I find this song very calming and I love the story it tells. Also it’s one I listen to on repeat frequently for hours at a time.
