Age: 17
Gender: Man! I feel like a woman!
Personality
Describe yourself (how you perceive yourself -- can be as short or as long as you want! ;) ):
I consider myself to be someone who puts on a lot of masks, many of them a lot happier or a lot more serious than she really is. Deep down, I'm very thoughtful and random, and I love to be happy, so therefore with friends, I am determined to be happy by making them happy too. I do also love being alone, though, so I can think alone and not have to put on my more cheerful persona. I am content...but I put on a mask of happiness around others that makes me act more out-going. On the flip-side, I also have a mask that can persuade my classmates to stay away: my serious, liberal, intellectual side. Either way, though, anyone can tell that I am friendly, if not reclusive.
You've heard people say you are: Random, mostly. My friends often say I'm very happy, funny, friendly and fiery...adults see me as mature...and generally strangers just see me as intelligent and mercurial, unable to pin down.
Overall, would you say your life is:
Peaceful/Full of conflict? Peaceful. I hate conflict unless it's in stories.
Filled with other people/Full of Solitude? I love my solitude...but I have people in my life, and I do love them too.
In general, would you say you are (expound if you can, please)...
Loud/Quiet? Depends on the situation: with friends or on stage I can be very loud, but most other times I'm quiet. Basically, I put out a loud persona when I'm really quiet.
Faithful/Skeptical? Skeptical of almost anything. The only thing I have some faith in is that every person has the ability for good and the ability for evil.
Realist/idealist? I am a social idealist, wishing people would get along...in everything else, though I am a strong realist.
Shy/outgoing? Outgoing to hide my shyness.
An extrovert/an introvert? Very much the introvert.
An optimist/pessimist? Pessimist. The world's going to end~!! D8 *just kidding XD*
Music-Related
Favorite song/s: I have a lot of favorites, generally deep songs...my current favorite, however, is "The Poet and the Pendulum" by Nightwish.
Favorite artist/s and/or composers: Nightwish, Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Favorite lyrics: Here are several...
My home is far, but the rest, it lies so close,
With my long-lost love under the black rose...
You told I had the eyes of a wolf;
Search them and find the beauty of the beast...
~"Beauty of the Beast," by Nightwish
Out there among the millers and the weavers and their wives
Through the roofs and gables I can see them
Ev'ry day they shout and scold and go about their lives
Heedless of the gift it is to be them
If I was in their skin,
I'd treasure every instant!
~"Out There," from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Oh, you can't tell me it's not worth tryin' for!
I can't help it...there's nothin' I want more!
I would fight for you; I'd lie for you;
Walk the wire for you; yeah, I'd die for you...!
Ya know it's true,
Everything I do...I do it for you...
~"Everything I Do I Do for You," by Bryan Adams
What sounds (e.g. birds singing) do you find pleasing to the ear? And vice versa?
I love the sound of the wind blowing through the trees and water crashing upon a shore...I hate the sound of my alarm clock, car alarms or annoying voices. XD
What genre/s or type/s of music do you prefer? Which ones do you dislike?
I adore Rock Opera or Symphonic Rock...pretty much anything with some attitude, and yet heart.
If your life had a soundtrack, what songs would be in it? Why?
The Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy [dreamy],
the Romeo and Juliet Fantasy overture [dramatic and full of movements],
"Wait," from Sweeney Todd [I am a bit passive],
"Underground," and "As the World Falls Down," from Labyrinth [fantastical and full of attitude and romance],
"Belle (reprise)" from Beauty and the Beast [I desire adventure just like Belle does],
"Ever Dream," by Nightwish [it is slightly vague and dreamy, but has a lot of attitude],
"Sin Wagon," by the Dixie Chicks [very fun and wicked],
"La Vie Boheme," from RENT [full of fun and acceptance of everything],
"The Grave," by Don McLean [very political and sad]
If you were trapped in a room (feel free to enhance on this scenario) and had to listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be? "Fantasmic," by Nightwish: I could never get tired of that song, there's so much detail and imagery in that song, and it's long, so it wouldn't get too repetitive.
