Movies I've seen over the last week.

Pride & Prejudice: Sometimes it was plain wrong. Sometimes it had it's good moments. Overall it was merely adequate. Not bad or good, just meh. I got bored and thank god I didn't pay to watch it. 2.5/5.

Brokeback Mountain: I get why people might not get the hype around it. It's not something you come out of going 'wow'. If it doesn't hit your heart then it's not gonna work. I didn't realise I liked it until the credits started rolling. Then I liked it a lot. 5/5.
(oh and I liked it more than Crash. So sucks to you Academy).

Walk The Line: This movie is just completely held up by Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. And they were brilliant. The direction was well done but nothing ground-breaking. The girl who played the first wife was annoying as hell. Otherwise I highly recommend it. 4/5.

Munich: You know, the Israeli-Palestinian debate is endless and tiring cos it'll never be solved. So it's a very provacative subject-matter in that way. But it's not as relevant to me as it would be to others. It's good stuff though. And Eric Bana naked is a big plus. 4/5

A History Of Violence: This one was very good. Creepy. This is something David Lynch would do with the confusion level toned down. David Cronenberg is brilliant. It's just very well handled. The pace is deliberate and then BAM it hits you in the face (quite literally). Out of all of them I liked this one the most. 5/5.
