Day in the life of J
Haven't updated in a while. Busy with stuff I guess.
A family friend came over today to set up my new monitor and he fixed everything that we were having problems with. It was so good and it was for free too. Now my sister can access the internet on her own comp. I was so happy I wanted to hug him.
I can watch TV on my comp now and as soon as I replace my DVD Rom I'll have no excuse to ever leave my room again! ... Except for food.
I'm going to city some time soon to visit the Chauvel theatre. I've been trying to find a cinema like Chauvel that plays old and foreign movies, cos they have heaps in the US. I just found out about it and I can't believe it's closing down next month. Hopefully not for too long. The best thing about it is it's playing Badlands in two weeks, so I have to see that.
I've been watching the Venice Film Festival. This year's line-up is really strong so it'll be interesting which films recieve awards. Brokeback Mountain got very enthusiastic reviews, especially for Heath Ledger. Next week the Toronto Film Festival's going to start and that's the one I'm really anticipating.
I really want to start jamming with Flic. I'm itching to play something with a drummer. Hopefully I can get another guitarist as well. But I think we'll have some logistical problems. I have to get to her house with an amp and a guitar. Maybe I'll try to hitch a ride with a friend to Chatswood. Or maybe I should find a guitarist who can drive too.
Now I'm off to eat lunch.
