Today I did something I never thought I would ever do in my life. I ran in an official road race, not just that a Disney one. Today I participated in the Champion 5K at ESPN the weekends. It's my first ever race. It was defiantly and experience. After the initial frustration of having to wait over an hour out side at the Wide world of sports to get my packet number and tracking tag (plus getting rained on) I was ready to get this over with. It was amazing how much energy was there. I'm not much of a sports fan but when you have the Harlem Globe Trotters and the Miami Dolphin cheerleaders there rooting you on at the start it's awesome. Problem was we were all qued up and we had to delay the race..... then I realized I really really had to pee and there was no way for me to get back to the porta johns. I was stuck in my que for 9 - 11 miles a minute, with probably 1500 people behind me. I sucked it up. the race started with fire works and it was amazing. The first mile went up and back the main toll plaza of the Hollywood studios, then cut in back stage up and through lights motors action and then headed through the backlot tour area. We looped around the Pearl Harbor planes, and in through the drive through studio part of the tour. Looped back into the streets of america, headed towards san fransico then past Muppets 3d. That was my chance. 2 miles in and I finally could take care of business. 5 minutes later i rejoined the pack. Down past Star tours and down and around the back of the hat. Then back towards the front and down towards Tower... bank a left towards Coaster and then around the back stage area and past the entrance to Fant. Then back up past coaster and headed to the front of the park. right at Crossroads and then back stage... took a left past parade building and thats the finish. I high fived Mickey and a few Globe trotters. and then WALL of people. But I got my medal and I was so proud of myself that the only reason i stopped was because i had to. The energy was so great with the people that were running it was keeping my blood pumping and I could have gone the whole way. I'm ready for a Half Marathon... I'm medal addicted.. who knows maybe I'll do the one In Disneyland in September. It was a great experience that I'm proud to be a part of. It also helped that my friend Bailey was there too, but he's been super training and was up in the very front. This is the man that runs 13 miles daily. he finished almost 15 minutes before I did, but was kind enough to stick around to see me finish. It was both of our first Disney Races. I stayed around and watched people finish for a while then headed home. I left with such pride, I felt like i could conqure the world. I went home and napped then headed to animal kingdom to do one of my favorite things.. which is go and experience the animals there. I spent almost an hour at rafikis planet watch. and pretty much most of the day there. Now i'm going to a wedding reception/party.

P.s. .. I do miss you.. I kind of feel like you kind of cut me out. Granted thats good to some extent because there are things going on in your life right now thats best we don't talk about at this very moment ( someday) but still... I do miss yah. I'm not begging or pleading.. I just wanted it to be known.
