[Spero Academy]

ABOUT

The Academy was established to help lower the escalating crime rate, under the administration of Wesley Bryant. Basically you enter the academy and are allowed a concentration in any field you want, which is what would be your specialty in missions. For instance, if you go for a concentration in Battle Tactics, then that would be your major responsibility when completing missions. Students are allowed to take electives to accompany their concentration, because Wesley knew that the students wouldn’t want to hunt criminals their entire lives, and he encouraged them to pursue other things while at the Academy. The Academy is under the observation of the governments, and every move that is made within the Academy must be reported through the governments.

RANKS

FIELD OPS (OPERATIVES) [Concentrations: Forensic Science or Battle Tactics.]
~Novices have the very basic training; they are trained in the martial arts, and they have a choice between a power and a weapon, they do not get to learn both. The types of missions they are given are basically errand missions (obtaining items for the academy and government), and take on petty criminals (such as robbers and thugs).
~Defenders have extensive training, both in martial arts and weaponry. The types of missions that they deal with are scouting missions for the Guardians and Sentinels. Completing these missions helps the Defenders to learn how to assess a situation and what actions they should take.
~Guardians have extensive knowledge of their concentration and have adequate skill with their choice of power or weapon as a novice. It is now at this point they are able to learn another skill (IE: If you chose a weapon, you now learn a power, and vice versa). For most students, this is the highest ranking that they can achieve. The typical mission that the Guardians go on are protecting and rescuing missions.
~Sentinels are the elite of the academy. You have to prove your worth, and then some to be promoted to this rank. The Sentinels are given top priority missions, such as dealing with terrorists and other missions that can jeopardize the safety of a whole nation.

~Instructors are mentors for the students and help aid them in any way they can, whether its schoolwork or completing missions. They have extensive knowledge in their field of expertise. Instructors have the option of assisting students on missions if they wish, and they can accept missions on their own for extra creds.

Instructors do have a power and a weapon, but not all Instructors bother being trained in both.
