Вот же существуют люди, которые настолько удивительно неслучайно попали в этот мир. Многих мир так и не раскрыл, уверен. Но случай раскрыл миру Монэ. Таю почти от любой его картины. Все объяснения ищут, объяснения... Ну какие тут объяснения, когда художника развивается катаракта, типа хуже уж что придумаешь, он вынужден сделать операцию, и после нее он начинает видеть ультрафиолет... Ну разве может это быть случай? Ведь именно ему достался такой дар, пусть даже уже в 23... Это ведь только еще больше доказывает фатализм происходящего... Вот, нашел такую замечательную статью:
Like a honeybee, Impressionist painter Claude Monet could see ultraviolet-a color of light that most of us can't see.
Normal human vision spans a range from red to violet-the rainbow spectrum. But plenty of critters-including honeybees-can see ultraviolet light, light beyond the violet end of the spectrum. If you could see ultraviolet like a bee does, you'd notice all kinds of interesting patterns in the petals of flowers, patterns designed to attract and guide bees to pollen like the landing strips at an airport.
To our eyes, the small yellow flowers of this Downy Cinquefoil look simply yellow. But UV light reveals a far flashier flower, a neon sign to bees seeking pollen.
Actually, your eyes are partially equipped to see ultraviolet light. The color-sensitive cone cells in your retina can detect it just fine. But the lenses of your eyes filter out the ultraviolet light before it can reach your retina, so you never get a chance to see it.
Which brings us to Monet. Late in his career, Monet developed a cataract that dulled his vision. In 1923, he underwent cataract surgery to remove the clouded lens. Without a lens in the way, Monet was suddenly able to see ultraviolet, which looks whitish-blue to humans. The change is apparent in Monet's paintings. He began to paint his water lilies-which look white to the rest of us-a pale blue.
