is just so wonderful. a silver lining to the storm that was + continues to be katrina.

is still as weird as can be. stresses me. even though i haven't said a word to him for some time {other than "hello?!" when i answer the phone}. but i've heard/read him. police can do nothing. no threat has been made. this situation is heavy to me. it is the invisible lead vest that i wear everyday. try as i may not to wear the weighted thing, it is in my wardrobe. it is dirty {+ yet invisible!} + ugly {still invisible!} + i hate it. it is plaque on the tooth of my soul. the bat in the basement...

a bit back, kireibird wrote that she likes thursdays + it got me thinking.
thursday are like the spring of the week, with the weekend being summer.
thursdays/spring you can feel/see/taste all the good open times ahead of you!
mondays are definitely winter. so i guess sunday night is fall.
about tuesday + wednesday i have no idea.
talk about art discussion group
i miss having crit + dialogue about art {my own + others'}. really. i miss it alot. i am trying to round up an art group in my area. while i know several small gallery owners, i'm thinking we'd meet at my house or maybe pub/coffee shop for some light-handed/hearted but still focused discussion about art. perhaps one week it'd be about a certain artist -- or even a certain piece. or maybe there would be a bit in the news that would be the point {auction prices, art vandals, osv}. the topic would vary. i know none of you live in my area... but it is something i want to do. similarly {though not so very so}, about 2 + a half years ago i started a postcard club. similar to http://www.illustrationfriday.com/ we take turns each month picking a topic + then make postcards to send to everyone else in the club. this postcard club has proven a nice challenge -- sort of like an art assignment, back in school. it is always good to challenge yourself + interesting to see how different people handle the same topic. i hope if this artalk group takes off that it will work out + be as satisfying.
