Working all night turned out to be a good thing, because I don't have to work today, and with all this snow, I Mikomi's home from school. This gives us a chance to spend a little time together. Although I think she's more interested in training right now than spending time with me. I really should be thinking about making her some lunch soon, but I guess she'll survive for now. We had a big breakfast this morning to celebrate our newfound freedom for the day. But, thank you Grandfather, for watching her for me. I just hope if this happens again, I'll have a little more notice for you.
With all the snow, it made training interesting. Bardock suggested we use this snow to help us. Since it was hard to see, because it was coming down so fast, we all agreed to power down and just fight hand to hand for a bit. I'm a little better at that then I thought I would be. Mikomi and Pan had a wonderful time, but I think their training turned more into a chance to see who could give who the biggest whitewash. I'm glad Mikomi has kid near her own age, who are as strong as her to play with. It must be rough on her at school, knowing she has to be careful or she could seriously hurt someone.
Looks like BJ and Piper have decided we might as well take advantage of this snow and organize snow type activities for tomorrow. Mikomi already caught wind of that and is insisting we go. Not that I need much convincing, a day of sledding, snowball fights, and snowmen sounds like a pretty good idea to me. And it seems Kia is volunteering to make hot chocolate, so I'm there.
But, in the meantime, I think I'll just enjoy today. It's nice not having anywhere special I have to be. And with the snow falling like it is, I don't feel I have to find things to do to be productive. Yes, I have every excuse to just kick back and relax. Maybe this evening I'll start a fire in the fireplace and watch the snow fall out the windows.
But, I really think a nap is my first order of business. I'm tired and Mikomi is training, so I should strike while the iron is hot.
