Warmth!
Yay! It's actually warm outside again. I was soooo happy that I changed from wearing a long sleeved top to a t-shirt. And I'll be wearing a t-shirt tomorrow as well. :) Ahh...the simple things in life that make me happy. Okay, we were supposed to have a quiz in Chemistry today, but due to mostly Megan S. getting all confused and half the class not knowing what a significant figure is (hello! look at the handout and the book!) the quiz is postponed to tomorrow. He spent almost the whole block going over it all. Next in Algebra I got the date of the exam confused, it's tomorrow, and I worried some of my fellow classmates. The quiz will be on recursive formulas and sequences. I'm glad that I know, for the most part, what I am doing. Oh, and Ms. Van Dam gave the students in my class, includiing myself, who got a 28 instead of a 22 on a certain problem another point. So now my score for the first quiz is a 96 instead of an 84. YAY! English was pretty fun. I worked with Kelly, Young, and Jeremy on making a Utopian Society. Kelly brought in 4 YM magazines for us to cut up. We stretched it at times for finding pictures that matched our topic. In lunch I heard yet another rendition of "Beauty and the Beast". With this version Jenny was all three girls who swoon over Gaston. Oh, and a friend of mine suggested that we name a combined play "Phantom and the Beast" but I think he meant "Phantom and the Beauty", because otherwise it'd be about one guy falling in love with another, which I don't think he was aiming for. Then in Health we did this bingo sheet where you had to sign a box that had a relaxing thing that you did. After that we imagined ourselves on a mountain with a cool breeze, green grass, wildflowers, tall trees, a blue sky, and white clouds. Next we started to watch "A Beautiful Mind". I noticed some things that I hadn't before. When the "niece" runs through the pigeons, none of them move. Odd, eh?
