Explosions=Bad Coughing?

In Chemistry, Mr. Kaeppeler did some various experiments. The first few included Lithium, Sodium, Potassium, and water. He had a beaker full of water and would drop in a small piece of each of the elements. Lithium was the mildest and Potassium was the most interesting. But, since he did each of them a few times, tons of hydroxide (?) was released into the air causing myself and Sable to have coughing fits until Mr. Kaeppeler opened the windows. The other experiment that he did was to put this dust in a can, light the candle, put the cover on the can, and blow into a tube. It caused a big flame/fire to come out of it. I think the majority of the class would prefer him to do experiments all class instead of lecture us on the book. I know that I would. I almost finished my graded assignment in Algebra. I thouroughly completed it at home. I didn't know, until that class, what converse shoes/sneakers are. I guess that I live under a rock, as usual. We continued to watch "Life is Beautiful" in English. That is such a sad movie. At lunch we compared rings and watched Kelly complain about how Josten's messed up her ring. The major thing that happened in band was that Mrs. Matheke said how unpleased she was with the report of how not everyone did what they were supposed to on the day she was gone. I went shopping after school getting uniform-like clothes for my missions trip to Poland.
