Waiting Makes Me Crazy
I'm crazy with anticipation! My decant circle has gotten off to such a TERRIFIC start-everyone has paid promptly enough that I didn't have to float anything. All-in-all, there were FIVE orders to the Lab and one for Ysanne's "The Orchard"! The first Lab order was for Jareth, Dragon Moon, and Hikifune. That was my initial order for "my" bottles. Didn't stay that way :P Then I opened up the circle to everyone with Truelove's prompting (thank you SO MUCH!) and put in my "big order" on the 10th of April. Of course, there was a Friday the 13th update on the night of the twelfth, so I ordered two bottles. Orders kept coming in, so I put in two more Lab orders-one on the 13th, one on the 14th. I felt that orders had slowed enough and there were enough other circles in the community that I could close mine safely.
Ok, so The Orchard came in and I decanted it out with the Jareth/Dragon Moon/Hikifune order following closely behind. Those got decanted. Since I had sold an entire bottle's-worth of The Orchard, I ordered a replacement for myself. I really love that scent! A week later, the two bottles of 13 got here and were decanted.
I received a Click n Ship that night. That was Friday night. Today is Monday and I am anxiously awaiting my mail! Is this my "big order", or one of the last two smaller orders? Also, my replacement bottle of The Orchard should be here today!
I have thus far shipped out the 5 orders that I could make up from what's come in. I have printed out all of the decant labels. Personally, I like using clear labels but after a quick survey from my Ravelry friends, I opted for labels that I could print out the scent notes on and also keep the vials from rolling about.
I have gone over and over and over my list of orders, counting and counting to ensure that I've ordered enough without having too much excess that I can't afford. There are three scents that I'll have to be VERY careful with. No spilling allowed! I think I can manage :D I'll do those first when my hands are "fresh", not tired.
So here I sit. Cataloging my efforts to date because I can't stand waiting and the anticipation that this package might be my "big one" is making me crazy :D I've had to tell myself to calm down at least 12 times this weekend-this could be one of the two smaller orders! The lab was backordered for something, after all. I found that out through the Forum. One of the other decant circle runners emailed the Lab about it. She was told that something "had been" on backorder but "was now" blended and her order was going out that night. She got her package on Saturday night. Pffft. This is one reason to hate smaller towns. My post office shuts down at noon on Saturday. Tracked, MY package COULD have been here Saturday.
Ah, well. Scott and I were gone all day Saturday anyway, looking at trucks.
Also? I'm waiting for word that Tanya has placed the order for the BPTP stuff! That's going to be SO MUCH FUN to get!
