BSG epiphany

Since the beginning of BSG I’ve been drawn to Gaius and his imaginary friend Head-Six. At first I think it was the relationship between the two and that he talked to someone else who wasn’t there but felt she was with him all the time. Though a bit violent at times, it was a romantic interest.

As the series went on the relationship still intrigued me, but I found I was more interested in Head-Six than I was Gaius. He simply became the tool that she was using to accomplish something. But what?

We then saw her proclaim to Gaius that she was a Messenger of God. Bingo! Things started falling into place for me at that moment. She is not a cylon, and she is not human. She is something that is ‘other’ and that realm of ‘other’ wants things to go a certain way.

So we have Humans that want to kill off the Cylons, Cylons that want to destroy the humans and now this third element. What does it want?

I believe it wants balance.

I wish there was a video montage of all the Head-Six moments in one clip so I can see exactly what she had Gaius do without interruption. One of the most memorable is her taking him to see ‘their’ baby. She had Gaius protect Boomer and Helo’s child (Hera). That child is half-cylon/half-human.

Last night Gaius’ angel took on the form of himself. At first I was confused (and highly amused). Why did God send a Gaius form? Though it didn’t take much convincing on the Angel’s part, the goal was for Gaius to sleep with Tory (a cylon). Having Head-Six try to convince him of that would be anti-productive. She has shown jealous tendencies in the past. She is dominating and so her telling Gaius to sleep with Tory would be …. out of character.

Don’t be surprised if Tory ends up pregnant with Gaius’ child. And no, Gaius isn’t a cylon. Yet the spread of balanced beings (half of each race) is expanding.

What I failed to realize until this morning is now that Chief is a cylon, his and Cally’s child is also half-cylon/half-human. If I’m not mistaken it is a boy.

Starbuck will find Earth. These three children of balance will be there, come together and procreate, and someday will rule. In my mind I think they may be the only three people on it at first, but at this point it maybe highly unlikely.

Is this the ultimate story line of BSG? The main point is these children? You know, I think it might just be true.
