I wonder if my gyno, now that I'm 30 and all, will finally take me seriously about not wanting kids and maybe be willing to discuss more permanent methods of birth control. I could totally do without this damn uterus. Really.

I've been very happy with my Mirena. Gets rid of all the really annoying having-a-uterus stuff without the nastiness of invasive surgery.

tried it - cervix wouldn't dilate enough for insertion. It's a post-baby option only in actual practice.

the only thing I haven't tried at this point are implants, surgery, and NFP. And that last one is just a NO.

Pratt, I love you. You're awesome. :-) I'm sorry about the student in your anecdote, sounds like they don't do well under pressure (which of course translates to unpleasant home environment)

Problem is I think N and I would produce an autist, and even if we didn't stats say we'd probably get a normal, and neither of us would know what to do then. And god help the poor thing if it was a girly girl. I'd also feel obligated to either homeschool or be seriously involved at the public school, and I am way too lazy (and/or confrontational) for that.
