a good weekend

hey all, well as the subject says, I've enjoyed my weekend. Yesterday L and kids came over and we went on a new route in my neighborhood. Typically I go to the left when I leave my apartment complex and just go straight crossing several side streets. I decided to explore them. So saturday we began with the first street u come too. It is about a half mile and goes in a loop bringing you back out to the main road but about a block down from where I would normally walk. it is half sidewalkless half not. Ellie did perfect following the edge of the road and brought me to the sidewalk when it was there. And no poop until we'd crossed over to the golfcourse to get back home which was a good half mile of fast moving so perfectly understandable. After coming home I just chilled out and put up a podcast. The purpose of this podcast is to explain why there haven't been any podcasts lately and I ramble a bit about my favorite authors. I spent the evening watching tv. There were several moovies being shown on the halmark channel which were based on Janette Oke books. I love her writing so i watched them. Today was church. The worship was wonderful. the songs really put me in a good worshipping mode. The sermon was the final one in his relationships but the one thing that really stuck in my mind was him talking about how we have our own timetable that we think God should work on but that He doesn't work acording to our time table. And so when making changes in our relationships and life in general with hope for positive change we have to remember that He might want something different for us. And that's very important for me to remember. ellie did terrific guiding in church today. I had to get a ride home because the stupid bus left me. I have to call and complain because I was there in the sancuary I'm either there are in the cafe and they know to check both places and I don't want this going on my record. So, I got to meet someone new who gave me a ride home. I wasn't home long when Dan came to pick me up. i met him through J who is a service dog trainer in the area. dan also is a trainer who has trained his own and also works with the prison dog training program. I learned a lot about that program today and now think its even coooler than I did before. Anyway he his wife and I worked our dogs in the town square mall a small mall here in town. at first Ellie was awful very distracted by Lacota his dog and i think a little unsure of his wheelchair. She pooped inside, but after pooping her work settled right down. Dan agrees that it was stress, but said that after that she seemed relaxed and happy and that she's a good worker overall. He said I wasn't giving her enough positive reinforcement and handed me a handful of moist dog treats. my dog was amazingly responsive and focused for the rest of the work in the mall and grocery store and taco Bell where they bought me lunch. Dan feels he can work through the stress issue by making working fun for her again. He feels I should use treats and use them frequently And it will help with our bond which isn't as strong as it should be at this point in our relationship. . He wants to work once a week with me for a while and I'm all for that. i really want to save this team. Now i'm home just c hillingDM live is on in the background. ellie is sleeping. Its been a long day productive but long and I may join her Tomorrow I will be watching birth day live on discovery health. I watch this each year. They have film crews in 3 hospitals and film not only the births, but interviews with the families and hospital staff. It goes all day, but I won't watch it all. I'll get ellie out for some type of walk and I need to do laundry I'm totally out of socks.
