Yay Canon
My Powershot A70 stopped working a while ago, and I finally managed to call Canon and describe the problem. It turns out it's a known defect in this model, and they are going to send me a shipping label and repair the camera tout suite. I would be ecstatic if I weren't busy scolding myself for not calling them a couple of weeks ago, when there would have been a chance of having the camera back in time for my trip. However, I'll enclose a very nice letter pleading that they make all reasonable haste, and I'll ask them to ship the repaired camera to my sister's place in BC. Maybe I'll still have it in time for London. Otherwise...there's always those great disposables!
