I've seen Rose take a lot of flack for the way she abandoned Mickey in "Rose," but it always puzzled me, because I thought it had been fairly obvious that he wasn't all that great of a boyfriend, either. I think they both had their faults and flaws, and just figured that they were going to grow apart, with or without the Doctor turning up.
