well, well, well. it's finally september.
two months down. it really hasn't felt like two months, but then again, i can't seem to grasp hold of anything lately. trying to recap august would take a lot of effort. it's seriously all a blur.
as for today, i like this point of my life & i would have never thought that back in june or may. i love this change & i think it's done a lot of good for my mental stand-points. i'm more confident than i've ever been, i'm more aware (besides recapping all of august), i can talk to people in a more elegant way, & i want to be here. i finally, honestly, 100% can say i'm comfortable in south carolina/ gerogia. maybe it's b/c i finally soaked in the beauty of savannah walking down river street, or maybe it's b/c i love the people i work w/ & the fact that they've done all they can to make me feel @ home. it's truly amazing when you can finally accept such a huge transformation.
i met a girl from SCAD just walking into a small boutique on river street two days ago. she's from hungry, but her roommate is studying fibers like me. out of no where, she handed me her phone number so i can ask her any questions i want & explained that if, for some reason, i don't get an apartment on campus, i can live w/ her & her roomies off campus, when i move to savannah. how awesome/random is that?
anyway...
my boss, cinthy, has done so much for me...it's incredible. she's given me such great confidence & made me feel welcome no matter what i say or do. she awarded me w/ free fine china from germany just b/c she likes me, she's handed me $75 from the company for keeping up w/ working for the company i work for, she understands i have to pay for school, so made sure i have an abundance hours, she's even given me a raise -- i can't get over how wonderful that woman is. truly immaculate.
my coworker, tracy, came into work yesterday w/ a bag full of flatware from france for me. i was speechless. what does one say when someone hands you hand painted dishes & handmade flatware of the finest quality from europe for free? all i can say is my apartment come january is going to be rockin'.
the rain won't be stopping until tuesday, so it's nothing but blueberry tea & rest from now until then; in between working of course. inventory is thursday & that equals me working from 3-midnight or later. blahh.
brenda ended up in the ER the other day, due to a horrible sinus infection, which i am prone to catching. every year i end up suffering from one, but i refuse to let it into my body this time around. so, i must attend to my boiling water & pour it over some honey-blueberry tea.
