Soon I'll have the third paper for this semester, also the second last exam I'll take in NUS as an undergraduate ^^ As I was telling my friend (who graduated from NUS 3 years ago), you don't really feel anything about it. Maybe the whole, start the semester, bid for modules, start lessons, take exams routine has been established for so many years that this particular one doesn't feel any different from the other :) This exam has been also tempered with a sort of ~ as any Singaporean would put it so succintly ~ heck care attitude *grin* After all, because we use a cumulative point average, one exam is as important as the other and this exam won't make a huge difference to our grades. Most of my friends (me included) have worked out the minimum grade we need to score to maintain our current grades :D One of my friends said it wouldn't make any difference to her honours whether she got a 2.0 (which is a failing grade XD) or a 5.0 (a perfect grade) ^__^v It must be nice to be able to take your exams knowing that :) Not that I think she would fail her exams or not take them seriously, but I think it's good to not have that kind of pressure.
I watched
this a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it would be really nice to share! It's Stephen Fry and Christopher Hitchens in Intelligence Squared. It's a debate ~ on whether or not the Catholic church is a force for good in the world. Suffice to say, it was a most interesting debate ^_^
