Plans are going ahead for this years Camp Sparkle. This makes me so happy! I love Camp Sparkle so very much ♥

Also, if you remember my Mikey hat speculation, pictures are showing that it is indeed a new era of the hat. ( How so pretty Mikey Way? )

yeah, when I wrote hunted I meant haunted *not enough sleep* >__< and yay for Ray and Bob!!!!!

Brian shows them inside the house, hoping it will be to their liking if they're meant to stay. Frank's babbling and going from one Way to the other with stars in his eyes and Brian sighs. He always gets like this when new people arrive and in this case it's clear he likes them.

Brian has always felt bad that Frank didn't have many friends here but then he never expected to have to take care of him until his coming of age (or when he decides to leave) but Frank's mother had clearly had different thoughts on the matter. At least Robert and Ray are willing to put up with him, even though he shouldn't even be with them and he has a penchant for climbing their backs when they're working.

He shows them the drawing room and the library, which gets an "ooh" from Mr. Way and a half-smile-but-not-quite from the governess before Robert knocks on the door to let them know that supper is served.

On the table, there are only four places and Brian bites back a groan. The thing he hates most about having new people in the house is that Raymond and Robert don't eat with him because it's not proper. He doesn't really care but they won't have any of it. Frank doesn't look too pleased either but then the governess mutters something and his attention is back to her (no, really, is it a her?). Raymond patiently waits for them to sit and Robert's being quizzed by Mr. Way about unnatural occurrences in the house. He looks halfway between uncomfortable and amused and even agrees to give the Ways a tour of the grounds where a young lady is supposed to have killed herself when her beloved died in a duel. Way turns to Brian with a little "I knew it!" grin and Raymond coughs.

I got what you meant, and hee, the running theme of Mikey being a woman or not is cracking me up.

"Sirs, Ma'am," Ray says smoothly as he pulls out a chair for Governess Way. "If you'd sit I'll serve."

"Oh, right." Mr Way walks backwards, attention still mostly on Robert. "And you said her neck was almost severed right through? Excellent." There's a silence then and Mr Way appears contrite, his eyes widening as he looks at them all. "Not that I celebrate in the death of a young lady."

Brian isn't so sure. Mr Way has an unsettling gleam in his eyes and Brian intends to ensure the knives and rifles are safely locked away.

Seemingly uncaring of her escorts babbling, Governess Way sits, her hands set primly on her lap, then inclines her head when Raymond says, "Ma'am. Would you like me to take your bonnet?"

"Please," she says, and removes the bonnet, revealing hair that's slicked back and curled against her neck, and as Frank said, sideburns that grow almost to her chin.

Brian can't help staring, Frank and more overtly, Robert too. Only Raymond seems unruffled as he takes the bonnet and hangs it on the oak coat hook that's positioned in the hall.

"Governess Way..." Brian begins, and then falters, because as sure as he is that he's looking at a man, what's he supposed to say?

"Yes?" Governess Way raises an eyebrow, lip curled slightly and looking amused.

"We don't feel the need to be bound by society's expectations and rules regarding gender," Mr Way, the eldest Mr. Way, says, then " and neither should you." Brian's speechless for a minute before another voice interrupts his thoughts.

"I agree", for some reason, Robert hasn't left the room and is standing behind Frank's chair, still staring at the Ways. There's a longer silence while Ray serves their supper; Brian and Robert are looking at Mr. ... at Gerard, Frank is inspecting the governess' hair and both Ways are thoroughly engrossed with their food.

"You'll be starting lessons in the morning, then?" Because, well, Brian's desperate, Frank looks thrilled and Robert's sporting a whole new facial expression Brian had never known he had. "Yeah!"

"Yes, Mr. Iero." The governess cuts his food primly "Yes, not yeah."
"Yes." Frank repeats dutifully and chews his vegetables (with his mouth closed, even!) and yes, they're staying, Brian will make Robert wear a dress if he has to, but they're staying.
