Yesterday was national kissing day, and I was talking about how it would have been a good excuse for a kiss meme, and how it seemed those kind of themed memes seemed to have died out a little

MCR, Mikey/Alicia - Killjoys: DiversionromanticalgirlJuly 14 2011, 02:12:08 UTC
He separates her from the rest of the group in the facility, driving his bike between them, revving the engine and spraying dust back on the rest. She looks at him with a mixture of fear and excitement, and Mikey has to smile. He doesn’t look like he used to, not the quiet, meek guy in the back of the lab, hiding behind glasses and a stoic expression. Now he’s bright colors and danger, afraid of nothing.
“What do you want?”
He’s not looking for anything, to be honest. He’s a distraction to keep the geeks from the raid, to lure the Dracs away from where the rest of the guys are lifting energy sources. Some are forthem, but most of them they’re passing off to clinics in the zone, trying to keep them up and running and taking care of the sick and wounded. He just smiles at her, just the corners of his mouth curving up, full of promise and the hint of a threat.
“I’m not afraid of you.” She doesn’t look afraid. She looks pissed, which is part of the reason Mikey keeps revving the engine and trying to push her further away from the rest. The last thing he needs is a revolt from the engineering division. He spins the bike carefully, spraying dust in her direction. It lands in her hair, on her white coat, covering her glasses. The rest of the techs move back, willing to sacrifice her to save themselves.
He hears the roar of the Trans Am’s engine and kicks the bike into gear, roaring in a circle around the techs, just to scare them. She doesn’t move except to glare at him and fold her arms across her chest defiantly. He stops the bike in front of her and reaches out, tangling his hand in the mass of hair that she has pinned in a bun at the back of her neck. He can feel it falling out of the pins as he forces his fingers through it, holding her and pulling her in.
He knows it’s a risk. She looks just as willing to bite him as anything, but his life is about risk now, about not being afraid of anything. Once you’ve cheated death, it’s hard to let anything else have a hold on you. She resists at first, ignoring the press of his lips, but then she relents, opening her mouth for his. He laughs into the kiss and grabs her wrist, wresting his gun from her hand.
“Nice try.”
“I wasn’t trying very hard.” She’s breathing hard, and the way her heart’s racing and her eyes are locked on his, he knows it’s not from fear. “If I’d been trying, you’d be dead.”
“Everyone thinks that,” he has to grin, because she’s gorgeous and fighting him. He kisses her again, harder this time, and she’s right there in it with him. “But you’d be surprised.”
“I like surprises.”
He releases her, tucking one of the bobby pins holding her hair in his pocket. Never know what might come in handy. “Good.”

Those two are such a good match.
I really like the idea of Mikey circling on his bike, and how Alicia gives as good as she gets. ANd how Mikey used to work in the lab too but has changed so drastically.

Interesting approach as much as everybody wants more, and I do agree more would be super awesome, I find myself wanting prequel fic with geeky labrat!Mikey pining over Alicia.
