anat

Ever since my lecturer described the Canaanite goddess, Anat, as 'a bit like a moody teenage girl', I can't see her as anything else.

She's like a bloodier version of Isis, and Isis is nicer to Set than Anat is to Mot. I especially like the quote about her wading through soldier's blood, up to her thighs in their gore. Something like that.. But then she's all like 'Ba'al, I love you omg Ba'al is so hot'.
ilu, Anat.

Yeah, I fangirl over mythology. Some people fangirl over fictional characters, some people fangirl over real people... I'm not so weird, am I? OTL

p.s. Do you like my tags? =_= What do you even call it? Ugaritology? Canaanology? Levantology?

Here's Set and Isis, because they're cool.
