http://turnthepageover.livejournal.com/40047.html I kissed Alex’s forehead, running my fingers through his hair and looking out at the waves rolling onto the docks. I shifted, trying to keep the seatbelt from digging into my back.
“Baby,” he murmured and I hummed, looking down at him. “I’m sorry.”
“You have nothing to be sorry for,” I told him, kissing his temple.
“He didn’t need to talk to you like that,” he answered and I shook my head.
“He shouldn’t talk to you like that, Lex. You're his son,” I told him and he shook his head.
“This is how it’s been since Tom died,” He said and I hugged him closer to me. “It’s like he lost the perfect son and got stuck with me.”
“Baby, you know that’s not true,” I told him and he sighed, blinking away tears.
“I’m not good enough,” he mumbled, sniffling. “I’ve tried and tried, but I’m never good enough.”
“Alex,” I frowned, pushing his hair out of his eyes. “Don’t say stuff like that.”
“It’s the truth,” he mumbled.
“No it’s not, babe,” I disagreed, kissing his face. “You’re more than enough for me.”
He laid his head on my shoulder, sniffling.
“Lex,” I mumbled, kissing his temple. “You’ve said it yourself, your dad’s pathetic. There is no reason for him to treat you like this. You’ve done nothing wrong, babe. You’ve done nothing to him.”
“He hates me,” he answered.
“Baby, it’s not worth it. All you’ve done your whole life is try to make your parents happy. They have no reason not to be proud of you. You’re going to college. You gave them a beautiful granddaughter. You grew up to be an amazing, kind, loving person who would give his life for his family. If they aren’t proud of that, then they’re just plain stupid.”
Alex sighed, looking out the window.
“Please don’t listen to anything he says, babe. I can’t stand seeing you so upset,” I said, kissing his forehead. “You’re perfect to me, Alex. You’re the perfect boyfriend and the perfect father. You’ve only been doing this ten weeks and you’re already a better father than your own dad ever was. You’ve learned from your dad’s mistakes.”
“I love you,” he mumbled.
“I love you too. Now please don’t cry anymore, or I’m going to find a way to slash your dad’s tires,” I told him, seeing him smile just slightly.
“I might have to join you on that,” he said, chuckling. I smiled, bumping my nose against his.
“You’re my other half, baby. The mac to my cheese. The spaghetti to my meatball. The stars to my night sky. You make my life so much better, Alx. Nothing would be the same without you. Fuck, I wouldn’t know how to survive without you next to me. Don’t ever say you’re not good enough. You complete my fucking life, Alex.”
He grinned, looking up at me with sparkling eyes.
“I wouldn’t be anything without you, Jack. You make me perfect,” he said, playing with the strings on my hoodie.
I smiled, nuzzling his hair. I felt him slide his fingers between mine, molding our hands together.
“We were made for each other,” he said, looking down at our hands. “There’s no way this is wrong. We were designed to fit each other.”
“Everyone is just full of shit, Alex. You know that,” I told him. “They’re jealous they don’t have anything as perfect as we do.”
He smiled, kissing my lips and looking back out the window.
“This place has so many memories,” he said, watching the calm water. “How many nights did we come here after school?”
“And makeout,” I said, hearing him chuckle.
“And talk about everything,” he said, running his thumb over my knuckles.
“I think I got my first handjob here,” I said and Alex laughed, rolling his eyes.
“Shut up,” he answered and I grinned.
“At least I didn’t lose my virginity here. That would be so awkward,” I said and he laughed.
“We’ve put this backseat to good use plenty times though,” he said and I nodded.
“And the driver’s seat.”
“And the passenger seat,” he said, giggling. “I think the only part of this car we haven’t had sex on is the outside.”
“We can still do that, you know,” I said, wiggling my eyebrows at him.
“I think we’ll need to have our own house, with a garage,” he said and I shrugged.
“Or we could just do it right here,” I told him and he rolled his eyes.
“I already got in a fight with my dad tonight. I don’t feel like getting arrested too,” he answered and I laughed.
“True,” I answered, kissing his nose.
“Do you remember that huge, comfortable couch you guys used to have in your basement?” Alex asked and I groaned.
“Yes! I loved that thing! It was so comfy!” I said.
“And we had sex on it like every time I came over,” Alex said, giggling.
“Oh my god, yeah! I was so pissed when they got rid of it! I begged my mom to let me keep it in my room. She refused,” I said, pouting.
“She probably figured out you weren’t just playing videogames on it,” Alex said with a chuckle.
“She probably knew we were having sex on it. That’s why she got rid of it,” I said and he nodded.
“Your mom knew so much more than we thought she did,” he said, shaking his head. “It’s kind of weird.”
“She always does,” I said, shaking my own head. “My mama knows all.”
Alex chuckled, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes.
“I don’t wanna drive back,” he said and I smiled, kissing his adorable face.
“You want me to drive?” I asked and he sighed.
“No. I want you to get me drunk and have your way with me,” he said, making me laugh.
“But we have our daughter to get home to,” I said.
Alex smirked, twisting my head and pressing his lips to mine. He kissed me slowly, slipping his tongue into my mouth. He kissed me sensually for about a minute, pulling away and leaving my head spinning.
“So, you ready to head back now?” he asked, giving me a knowing smirk.
“M-maybe just a quicky,” I said, grabbing him. He climbed on top of me, straddling my hips as he kissed me. I pulled the lever that made the seat recline, causing us to fall back quickly. Alex squeaked, and I chuckled, pecking his lips.
“Switch me spots; I want you on top,” he said, grabbing my hips and twisting us around.
“Jesus,” I giggled, trying to adjust myself in his lap. He squeezed my hips, sitting up straight to kiss me. He leaned back, leading me with touches of his lips to mine.

“Hi, Josie!”I exclaimed, smiling as we walked inside.
“Hey, guys,” May said, handing Josie to me as I approached her.
“Oh, baby! I missed you!” I exclaimed, hearing Alex chuckle.
“Hi, beautiful,” Alex grinned, giving her a kiss. The baby looked at him with big brown eyes, smiling at him.
“Nice sex hair, Lex,” May teased and he wiggled his eyebrows, smacking my ass.
“Excuse me,” I said and he giggled.
“You liked it earlier,” he said, winking. I rolled my eyes and he grinned, leaning forward and kissing me.
“Ba!” Josie squealed, and Alex turned his head.
“What?” Alex asked, and Josie put her hand on his cheek. “Huh? You think you’re the only one who can kiss your Deedee? Well guess what, chunkerbutt. You wouldn’t be here if I never kissed your Deedee.”
Josie cooed at him and I smiled.
“Don’t fight over my love,” I said, holding Josie close to me. “I love you both.”
“Tell your munchkin that,” Alex said and I giggled.
“She’s your mini-me,” I told him and he nodded.
“She is. No wonder you love us both so much. We’re so damn cute,” Alex said, smirking.
“She’s cute. You’re...” I made a face and he glared.
“Yeah?”
“The most gorgeous boy I’ve ever seen,” I said, leaning forward to kiss his nose.
“That’s what I thought,” he said, sticking his tongue out.
“Mmm,” Josie hummed and Alex looked down at her.
“Did you miss us? Is that why you want all of our attention? Or did Auntie just ignore you the whole time we were gone?” he asked Josie, glancing over at May. “She’s a bitch.”
“Don’t teach her that,” I said, unable to keep a chuckle from slipping out.
“She’ll forget by the time she speak real words,” he said and I laughed.
“True. But try not to teach her that when she does speak real words. I wanna try to raise a lady,” I told him, seeing him smile.
