Honestly, Serena wasn't even sure what she was supposed to say. She'd promised Nate she would talk to Jenny, and she knew she couldn't put it off long or she would wind up not keeping her word, but the plain fact of it was, she had yet to figure out just what to tell the younger girl. At the party, she'd told Nate that, with Dan gone, she felt like it fell to her to look after Jenny, and that had been true, but it seemed sort of hypocritical to tell her not to be with someone older. She'd done it herself more times than she could really remember.
That had always been different, though, and dating those guys wasn't exactly her area of expertise. Still, she knew, all she could do was try, at least so she could tell Nate she'd done her best.
