The first few days: A brief overview
Wednesday:
4.45am: Woke up
5.15am: Left the house for LAX
5.45am: Arrived LAX, had a break down in parking structure.
6.00am: Got in line at American ticket counter.
6.50am: Nearly threw up in LAX bathroom.
7.11am: Flight departed...still in line.
7.40am: Got tickets.
8.14am: Finally finished getting "searched" by amazingly slow security and ran at top speed across terminal to make my 8.23am flight.
9.00am: fell asleep on the flight
1.30pm(St. Louis time): Woke up, stretched.
2.00pm: landed and met many people on the rental car bus who were going to Wash U...including one who's mother plays gin with my old AP US teacher.
2.16pm: seated in rental car with my father...can't figure out where the transmission is.
2.17pm: located it and we are shifted into reverse! A victory for man kind.
5.00pm: After Bed/Bath got back to the hotel and fell asleep
9.00pm: wandered around looking for a place to eat
11.00pm: still hot and humid!
Thursday:
9.00am: Left hotel for move-in which wasn't that bad...my roomie is nice.
12.25pm: Left room but discovered roomate had left his keys in the door.
12.45pm: Entered a "Target" for the first time in a long time....wowed.
2.00pm: Lost rental car in big parking lot while carrying heavy boxes in what was later called "the hottest day in St. Louis in twenty years."
2.04pm: Located rental car...although it felt like much more time was spent wandering.
5.30pm: First floor meeting...a bundle of laughs.
7.30pm: Convocation--horrifying. Can I go back to a school where no one gives a shit please?
7.35pm: discovered a hot student council member to stare at for the event.
8.20pm: got bored with him...try to learn sign language by watching the signer.
after: Met Rob, then went back and decorated my room.
Friday:
8.28am: woke up late but showered anyway
9.00am: Wrote the worst essay of my life for the English placement test.
10.30am: Finished getting settled
12.00n: found my internet was turned off. The computer office said I had a virus and to bring my computer in...woudl be ready tomorrow.
12.20pm: Arrived the computer office.."oh a mac!" the lady exclaims...it'll be back in a few hours.
1.00pm: Architecture and Art funness
5.00pm: Helped Rob decorate
7.00pm: Dinner with the parents...
8.30pm: long ass floor meeting
10.00pm: all these people in my room...because we're just so cool.
11.00pm: Went running with Luz..played with the football equipment by the track.
1.00am: More decorating
3.52am: Much needed sleep.
now off to an architecture picnic...whatever that means.
