Bed, Bath and the Great Beyond...
So today I purchased what I hope is all the goods I need for my dorm room at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It was really boring, and they gave us these scanners that kept breaking. Luckily there were some nice looking guys in the store for me to gaze at while I picked out towels.
-I have been screwed over by the Apple store: but computers are boring.
-I have been screwed over by American Airlines: A bunch of my already booked flights to/from school have been messed up because they changed their schedule and I will have to make connections...but it's OK. My phone conversation went something like this at one point:
"Why do you have roundtrips based in St. Louis but an address in California?" she aked.
"Oh, I'm going to school in St. Louis but I live here, in California" I responded.
"OK. Sorry about the hassle, they're changing flights here. A lot of us our losing our jobs."
"Yikes."
"Oh, what school? I'm in St. Louis"
"Washington University."
"Congratulations...oh good. That is a great school. Is it your first year?"
"Yeah, it is"
"Well, St. Louis is a lottttt different than Los Angeles."
"Yeah, you're telling me."
"Sorry again for the hassle, sir."
"Uh, no problem, um, sorry you are losing your job."
-I have been screwed over by your mother
In other news, things that make me happy this week are:
-the cooler weather
-the beach
-talking to new friends who have hot, hot brothers
-Daria re-runs
