OMG! I did it too because, well, i wanted to!
To be honest the improvement is not so visible (at least to me) but i think that something really changed between july and august, anyway, TAKE A LOOK! (and laugh at me!)

ICON PROGRESSION POST (with commentary!)

January 2011

january was the month of bold color, blocking and huge text on icons (and also was Morgana's month!) Not much to say about these, i still like the second one, the third and the last. and yes, the fifth because i still use yellow/cyan a lot (not that way anyway).

February

still blocking attempt, still gradients, still yellow/cyan; just some different crops. that month was about pride and prejudice and alias.

March

still yellow/cyan, some little attempt in changing composition (#3, #6) blending attempt and shitload of light. march still has two of my all-time favourite icons (#1, #5)

April

april was the first month i really pushed myself somewhere; i really want to do something different and i think i got there, bold text, blending, blocking composition and different kind of coloring. once again, two of my favourite icons are here (#2, #6)

May

first entry for me! it was amazing, i really had to wrap my head around for those icons, but i quite enjoyed everything. plus may was got and camelot month. new coloring and blending approach. some i like, some i don't.

June

this was the month of theotherayn inspiration: light blobs, warm colour and lots of gradients (to color!). still i was a bit awkward about blending stuff together but thing were going better.

July

NO ICONS THAT MONTH.

August

this was probably the ~change~ month, where i really started to work properly on icons: i got better at blending, with coloring and lightning the images up. the last three icons are in my favourite-selfmade icons list. especially #4 which is so soft but still sad (imo).

Sepetember

this batch was for inspired20in20 and the theme was "MOOD", i think i really striked it, maybe the icons are not-so-complex, but i really worked hard on these; especially on lights and colours. (also: first real encounter with painted/stroked textures!(

October

these are the kind of icons i'm really proud of. i really love all six because i think these really represents me. blending, coloring, texture use, blocking. that's me in icons. plus, some icons from this batch took me forever to complete (#1 blending was MAD)

November

probably the most difficult batch i've EVER made. these two are my crackship of doom, and working with two differend fandom was HARD. I blended and composed a lot; and colouring these was really FDSAFDFGRERVRV some days i thought i was going to give up; i did not. favourites: #3, #5.

December

OMG. This was like the blending month. Used this method a lot; probably because i was like "let's not be lazy"; well, these ar not really complicated, but still; i think they represents me very well! First one was an experiment with text (it was made for a challenge and the theme was "songs word") i'm especially proud of #3 and #4. AAAWWWW MY BB!

....next.

don't know when anothr iconbatch will come, my muse is dead, the only thing i do except working is watching sherlock over and over and over again. my life now depends on benedict cumberbatch. yeah, pretty much!
