The thing I like best about the airport, other than the time/resource-sucking futility of it all, is the moment our plane wheels into the gate and hovers at the door for 5-10 minutes. We all half-stand half-crouch over our seats, arms outstretched in a useless attempt to touch baggage in overhead compartments. It's like Yoga. It's probably the one time in our lives we're truly "in the moment," and we paid $230-$400 to be in that moment so that's like Yoga, too. Delta has caught onto this, and now they play Paul Simon on the intercom during the lull, either to enhance or discourage the moment, I can't tell.
