Are They Trying to Kill Us?
So...last Tuesday I was told that all of my painting thus far are due next Tuesday or Thursday. Four paintings and another that was a huge 3 panel work. Each panel was a 30 x 36. Yeah...huge. A sketch book and a book of 15 smaller paintings. I worked all of last week trying to get things done for Tuesday because that was the day I signed up to have a crit. Monday night one of the 3 huge panels wasn't dry and I needed it to dry to continue. Freaking out I found my prof in the building. I told her the situation and she said she'll let me go Thursday. Oh thank-you!!!!
But the Monday before this past Tuesday another prof goes Wednesday we are going to form groups and give group presentations! WHAT!!!!!!! Its the last week before finals!!! And you are now giving us a group presentaton. Ontop of a paper due this coming Monday.
My printmaking prof two Tuesdays ago (the same day with the prof who said our paintings are due) that we are going to do a wood cut. Do you know how long it takes to make a wood cut. So...all week-end after being in the studio painting I spent my evenings carving into a piece of wood. That wood cut and another print that we were still working on was what I still had to do. Everyone that the prof was crazy. We only had 2 days in that studio to actually work on our prints. Today I just made a final print for the metal print. Screw it I don't have the time.
So as of now. A huge chunk of paintings were graded and are out of they way. I still have a final painting due next Saturday. I had 3 Saturday finals but one was moved. So now I only have 2 on next Saturday.
I have to give a presentation tomorrow or Monday. Hand in a paper Monday. Finish a final print for my wood cut. THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! (I'll work on the print Saturday) That's due by noon Monday. As well as start working on my final painting for Oil class. Then after Monday I can then start to study for a Tuesday final in Astro.
Tuesday a final in Astro and printmaking (not really a final in printmaking more like here are your prints here is your grade
Wednesday a final in Latin
Thursday a final in History of photography
Friday I have NOTHING
Saturday a Classical Literature final and a painting final
THEN!!! I can go home and be done with this semester.
I'm so tired from running from one place to another. And I still have to clean out my lockers for my art classes. That is going to be alot of carrying things back and forth. I'll have to make a few trips each day to the studios and slowly clean out the lockers.
