I actually think From The Cliffs is better than Through The Windowpane. Windowpane just seems to drag a bit and I think it suffers from self-indulgence. Maybe Fyfe Dangerfield feels a bit too much pressure to be lavishly orchestrated... I dunno... something like 'Cats Eyes' wouldn't turn up on Windowpane but I think it's stunning.
You know what I fucking hate? When labels which can blatantly afford to release whatever the hell they want randomly don't put out the vinyl of an album until three weeks after the CD. It's all very well if you think vinyl's some sort of novelty or whatever but in realistic terms it means no Muse until the 31st of July. It's like... what's the point? I just end up not buying any format. And I hate the 'vinyl is a novelty' thing anyway. People who buy the CD because, well, what else are you going to get an album on? And then get the vinyl because, well, it's all cool like. And vinyl's meant to be indie or something. And I'll have a piece of that with my Topman pre-worn trainers. The perpetrators of that can fuck off.
