atmosphere

The atmosphere was set: she was wearing her aviators, with her broken in jeans, and Maryville t-shirt. Her left leg was hiked up and resting on the side of the door, in a-yoga-half-indian-style position. The guys were inside getting beer, and all the gear was loaded in the in the back of the Rav. Windows down, the dry heat of early June did not dampen her spirits. She gazed out the window to see Megan half hanging out of the window of the pickup parked next to her, playing with a plastic dinosaur in boredom. The sounds of summer and Led Zepplin playing on the radio made her smile. As soon as the track switched to Rolling Stones, she sang "wild, wild, horses" at the top of her lungs in the most obnoxious impersonation of Bobby's singing as she could. Hicks walked quickly to their trucks, shaking their heads and glaring at the two of them.

Mags: "man, I love camping. I'm so excited for this weekend."

Megan: " yeah, isn't this the perfect setting for a summer camping trip?"

Mags: "yeah....or the beginning of a horror movie."
