the duldrums
thank god for that first breeze! i've successfully navigated my way through the turbulent waters of the pre-last week of school and it's paper/test infested waters. I survived the LAST week of school with its still, never ending, sea of non-motivation, it's endless swabbing of the decks of my memory with note-brooms and annotated-novel-review mops in preparation for finals that waste my time and encourage cabin fever. With the first breeze of freedom, that is reading day, ripples appear in the waters of my life and i can sense the oncoming horizon of summer gliding towards my prow. Now all i have to do is prepare the rigging of my linguistics knowledge and tie the knot in my grade, to hoist my sails of decent GPA and lay siege to the winds of change. geearrrg! A celebration be in order!
