I like twitter, and my intention was to leave the longer posts to livejournal. But honestly, the kind of things I prefer to rant about on lj leave me so tired, at least partially because every single time I seem to end up spending 3 days clarifying that no, I didn't mean whatever shitty thing someone has managed to magically spin out of what I said, so I start posts, and then I just...delete it. So instead my livejournal gets emptier and emptier. But I still like it, because I get to stare creepily into everyone else's lives o__________o
I read a lot still, but it's generally on a screen; the phone, my computer, etc. And so I keep up with twitter while I'm reading. Then again, I think half the reason I got into fanfiction as a teenie was because my access to books was so limited, and now I can't bring myself to pay $30 for a novel I'm not certain of the quality of when I can find 500,000 words of story online in a universe and with characters that I know I like.
I love KSmith's posts, though I kind of wish he'd link to a blog post, though that loses the immediacy of response so I can understand why he doesn't. I like Twitter for what it is, just like I like Facebook for what it is, and Livejournal for what it is, but they're not the same thing. So it makes me kind of sad when one gets ignored for the other.
IN OTHER NEWS, have you seen Being Erica? I just watched the first episode and I am KIND OF INEXPLICABLY CHARMED.
