how tragically early nineties is it that any song where they repeat the letter "e" makes me enjoy it even more-so....

the main instigator, back in the day, was the seminal "ebenezer goode" by the shaman. with a joyful cockney bent, "eezer goode" broke through to become an ecstatic anthem of "e's are good." a nod of the hat to the even more blatant "everything begins with an e" by the e-zee posse.

but blatant just doesn't sell as well... take, for example, the track by soulwax, "e-talking". i love the track and i love the video clip, but some people don't want their musical choice to be obvious in their endorsement of what is required to enhance it. they want it to slip in under the radar and invade like an ear worm...

and that's coming back into style... dizzee rascal snuck it into "bonkers" by getting armand van helden to mix it up so the line "there's nothing strange about me" breaks down into a time is a loop style binge of e, e, e, e, e, e, e...

itch-e and scratch-e must have noticed this for their latest track, after a nine year hiatus, "r.e.f.r.e.s.h featuring scribe" which is a remix of scribes 2007 song "fresh" although he never stuttered over any of the letters in his version...

it may just be a passing trend, but i look forward to being in my elderly years and giggling as another song spells it out for us, while my nursing home staff have no idea why...

the fiend
if a = 1....

p.s. for this post i write like stephen king.
