back on the promotional band wagon...
i'm going to be spending an awful lot of the next two weeks watching impro....
aside from helping out by judging the impromafia show at the
albion comedy club and restaurant (i know! i had no idea it existed, either....) on the next two wednesday nights, i'll also be catching every "episode" of "
prognosis: death! relapse" at the brisbane arts theatre, thursday, friday and saturday nights.
earlier this year, thanks to the season pass, i saw five of the six episodes of prognosis: death!, which saw the good folk at st love hospital take on
a vampire lol cat, a 5000 year old mummy, a possessed painting,
a fog of dreams, time travelling nazis and the devil himself.
each episode comes about with a suggestion, from the audience, about what evil they must take on. the characters special interests get filled in by the audience during the opening credits and from that moment on, the fake blood and the organs are the only thing they have pre-prepared, for the mandatory operation or autopsy scene.
this season, i'll be helping out by running the merchandise booth, which will include taking photos for i.d. tags, that the audience can purchase (the actors don't get paid, all merch profits go to the theatre, to help keep it open).
the interest from those involved in the show is high, with a new
st love hospital twitter blog and the musician revisiting the
individual character themes this will be the last six nights of the show, this year. you can catch all six but i definitely recommend that you try to catch at least one.
the fiend
oh, and jugger this sunday, as well.
